The Tapestry of Tonya -
Portraying you from time of birth
Telling in words moments of worth
Lingering now in joys anew
Enchanted still by thoughts of you.

Memory brings so many things:
Our laughter found on joyful wings,
Roller skating when you were small
And love for you by one and all
Tiny Sitches sewn -
I think with pride of how you grew,
Your wittiness and humor too.
I see in you such great portent -
From little one to president.
Woven overtone -
I think of you and how you care,
The lovely preciousness we share.
The trips to Europe and elsewhere
Are always best when you are there!
Tash in Bar-gel-lo -
You ski-fully stitch mountain heights,
And voice your love on quiet nights.
The scenes are those of balmy lands
With tealed oceans and golden sands.
A Cashmere tableau -
In the softness of love I see
Beautiful you in tapestry
A story spread from infancy,
Portraying you in history
With threads that relate -
Pictures of you, gently aglow,
In home that's new or long ago.
I paint these words so I can show
You are the dearest one I know.
- My mural of state!
July thirteen in Nineteen eighty-eight.
I love you! - - Mom
